We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team and provide a high-quality early learning experience aligned with the New Mexico PreK Standards.

Position Overview

As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. You’ll help cultivate a nurturing and safe classroom environment where every child feels supported and empowered to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of a classroom for preschool-aged children.


• Ensure full compliance with Auntie Nikki’s Daycare policies, as well as state and national health and safety regulations.


• Conduct ongoing developmental assessments and observations in accordance with NM PreK Standards.


• Develop and implement lesson plans and daily schedules that reflect NM PreK curriculum goals and the values of our program.


• Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.


• Provide consistent guidance and positive behavioral support to foster social-emotional development.


• Collaborate with the Director and team members to support overall program success and special initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.


• Previous experience in a licensed early childhood or PreK classroom setting.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Certification in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention Training (required within 60 days of hire).


• Strong ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.


• Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
