Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs.

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum

Assist children with developing social and emotional skills

Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques

Communicate with parents and other school personnel

Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and state teaching certification

Must have the require 12 Semesters ECE Units or 16 Quarter ECE units

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

Problem-solving and mediation skills

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour

Community First School is a year-round child care center. Unlike other centers who focus primarily in just the preschool age group, we offer programs for infants as young as six weeks old to 5 years because we recognize the importance of continuity of care. We provide a play-based environment but with emphasis on academic readiness. We are a nut free school, and we do provide hot lunches every day to our full time children without extra cost. Better yet, our rates is very competitive with even home care providers.

We are committed to encouraging play, discovery, experimenting through carefully chosen activities. We created a stimulating, caring, home like environment where each child can be an independent, self-motivated thinker and active learner. We strive to provide opportunities for children to develop their life skills that will carry them further in life.
