President & General Manager – MEP / Plumbing Services

We’re partnering with one of the fastest-growing privately held service organizations in the country to identify a President & General Manager to lead an established plumbing and construction services business through its next phase of growth.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a highly respected local company with more than 50 years of history, an established customer base, experienced team, and strong reputation across commercial and residential markets, while having the financial backing, infrastructure, technology, and strategic resources of a rapidly expanding national platform.

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial leader who can build on an already successful foundation while bringing the operational discipline, commercial mindset, and leadership needed to significantly grow the business.

The Opportunity

As President & General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance, strategy, and growth of the operating company. You’ll lead the local organization while partnering with an experienced national leadership team that provides resources designed to help successful local businesses scale.

The company operates across commercial and residential plumbing and construction services, providing a strong existing foundation with significant opportunity to expand revenue, capabilities, market share, and customer relationships.

This role offers the autonomy and accountability of running a business combined with the resources and financial backing of a larger organization.

What You’ll Own

• Full P&L responsibility and overall business performance


• Development and execution of short- and long-term growth strategy


• Revenue growth, profitability, margins, forecasting, and financial performance


• Leadership across operations, service, construction, sales/business development, and supporting functions


• Development, accountability, and retention of the leadership team


• Identification of new customers, markets, service lines, and commercial opportunities


• Operational efficiency, productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction


• Workforce planning and development within a skilled-trades environment


• Key customer, contractor, vendor, and community relationships


• Annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management


• Partnership with the broader organization to leverage capital, technology, recruiting, marketing, purchasing power, commercial relationships, and other resources


• Preservation of the reputation, relationships, and culture the local organization has built over decades

What We’re Looking For

• Proven President, General Manager, COO, Division President, Regional Leader, or successful business owner/operator


• Demonstrated experience owning and managing a P&L


• Track record of growing both revenue and profitability


• Strong operational leadership within plumbing, HVAC, electrical, MEP, construction, specialty contracting, field services, or a closely related industry


• Experience leading both people and overall business performance


• Strong understanding of service and/or construction operations


• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities


• Experience building, developing, and holding leadership teams accountable


• Ability to operate entrepreneurially while effectively leveraging the resources of a larger organization


• Respect for an established company’s history and culture while bringing the vision and leadership necessary for continued evolution and growth


• Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility with employees, customers, ownership, and community partners
