Press Brake Operator

Job Status: Full-Time

Schedule:  M-TH, 6am – 4:30pm | Overtime as requested on Fridays. NO WEEKENDS!

Position Summary
Janco is seeking a Press Brake Operator who is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to form product to customer specifications. This role requires precision and attention to detail in ensuring the production of high-quality metal products while adhering to safety standards and production deadlines. The Press Brake Operator must read blueprints, select proper tools and materials, and perform necessary quality checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely start up, shut down, and operate equipment.


• Review and verify prints against work orders, ensuring correct material usage and revisions to meet customer specifications.


• Select the appropriate die and programs and determine the proper bend sequence for each job.


• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools and document results accurately.


• Organize parts on pallets for further processing.


• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Capable of operating tools such as hammers, Allen wrenches, and open-end/box wrenches.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment, particularly with press brake or similar equipment, is preferred. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers or smartphones is helpful.

Certificates & Licenses: None required.

Work Environment 

The work required for this position is performed on the shop floor which is not climate controlled. Safety-toe shoes, protective eye wear, gloves when handling material are required.
