Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Setup and operation of 2-4 axis CNC press brakes
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately manufacture parts with high tolerance.
- Prototyping & Production: Work closely with engineers and the R&D team to prototype and refine new vessel components. Transition prototypes into full-scale production.
- Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections, measuring parts using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other production team members to ensure components meet performance, safety, and design requirements.
- Material Handling: Safely handle and manage various materials, including metals, composites, and plastics, ensuring proper use, storage, and disposal.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and suggestions on manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience with the setup and operation of 2-4 axis CNC press brakes.
- Technical Skills: Ability to select appropriate tooling, follow setup sheets, read blueprints, and use measuring tools to assure part accuracy. Must be either able or willing to learn 5 axis water jet operation.
- Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and high attention to detail, ensuring that all parts meet stringent specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to equipment, materials, and processes.
- Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of and adherence to safe machining practices, equipment operation protocols, and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with engineers and other machinists to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trumpf press brake experience preferred, but not required.
- Press brake programming & laser operation is a plus, but not required.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day

- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and in allotted timeframes
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, platforms, or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and be alert to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time
- Exposures to hazardous materials and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
