 JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

Pressman A must be able to satisfactorily perform the following essential job responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities 

• Coordinates with supervisor for daily schedule
• Instructs other pressman for production runs and issues
• Sets up and operates hydraulically or electrically powered rubber compression molding and/or transfer presses 
• Uses various types of measurement equipment to determine specific parameters, as specified by prints, drawings, etc.
• Take out molded parts and cuts or trims with scissors or knife
• Electric and manuals to pick up, lift or put presses. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities · 

Ability to work with a variety of warehouse/manufacturing tools· Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools

Effective verbal and written communication skills · Creative problem-solving skills · Able to work in a fast-paced environment · Proven organizational skills · Ability to prioritize and work independently   

Working Conditions 

Physical Requirements

· Able to push, carry, lift, and move materials up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to work while walking/standing for extended periods of time 

· Able to walk across a production facility.

Work Environment 

· Typical production environment.

· Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met.

Minimum Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Experience operating press machinery

· Familiar with power tools and hand tools

· Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
