Health & Wellness, within Student Life, is comprised of Center for Awareness, Resources, and Education (CARE), Counseling and Mental Health Service, Health Service, Health Promotion, and Alcohol and Other Drug Harm Reduction. Health and Wellness (H&W) contributes to the educational mission of the university through promoting student wellbeing via clinical, educational, and consultative services. What You'll Do

This position will be based in Boston.
The Prevention and Response Specialist for Graduate and Professional Students reports to the Director of CARE to further the university's commitment to respond to and prevent sexual misconduct, including sexual assault. The Specialist will focus their work on graduate and professional students on the Tufts Health Sciences Campuses in Boston and Grafton.
The School of Medicine, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Dental Medicine, and the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy are located on the Tufts Boston Health Science campus.
The School of Medicine also includes the students on the Maine Track MD Program and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) in Maine.

The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is located in Grafton, MA.
The Response Specialist will handle the below duties:
Provide confidential emotional support to graduate and professional students regarding sexual misconduct

Run and expand student workshop programming and create student-facing communications and outreach regarding both sexual health and sexual misconduct
Work with existing student groups to plan and execute future programs

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a Bachelor's degree in related field
3- 5 years of full-time professional experience in the field of sexual assault, relationship violence, domestic violence, harassment, and stalking; primary prevention services; victim services' and/or training and technical assistance services required. Unpaid or volunteer experience in these fields may be applied to this requirement but may not replace the professional experience entirely; candidates who wish to apply volunteer experience should demonstrate how their experience is equivalent to professional experience
Experience working with young adult or graduate/professional student populations
Knowledge of public health and social justice principles related to intimate violence prevention and sexual health education.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices for educational programs
Knowledge and familiarity with sexual health education and programming
Familiarity with current legal issues and regulations relevant to violence prevention and response work in higher education (Title IX, Clery Act, FERPA)
Strong interpersonal and spoken and written communication skills
Strong awareness of social, emotional and personal boundaries and how to set and maintain them in clear and respectful ways
Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently on behalf of students and collaboratively with co-workers and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Counseling, or a related field

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
This is a hybrid role that will involve a negotiated amount of travel between the Boston and Grafton campuses and the CARE office located on the Medford/Somerville campus. There is no expectation of being on-site in Maine.

Pay Range

Minimum $57,900.00, Midpoint $72,450.00, Maximum $87,000.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
