Schedule: Hours are mainly Monday-Friday
Some flexibility due to travel from the main office to other schools within DeKalb county and community events. Occasional Saturday needs for community events.
The team is seeking an individual for this position who is flexible, community oriented and has a passion for working with the youth population.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, public health, community health, sociology, psychology, or related field.
The Prevention Specialist Team Lead reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Prevention Specialist Team Lead will oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based prevention programs. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders including the State of Illinois, grant funders, NM marketing, and operations. The Team Lead will work closely with leaders across elementary, middle, and high schools in DeKalb County, as well as local entities such as substance use providers, health departments, primary care clinics, police departments, and more to promote a drug and alcohol-free environment for the youth.
