Duties and Responsibilities

  Field Service & Maintenance:

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Respond to service calls as directed by the Dispatcher, planning and mapping the best route to meet scheduled timeframes 98% of the time.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Accurately troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on the first visit.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Communicate with drivers/operators regarding equipment and mechanical issues.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Maintain a regular schedule for preventive maintenance (PM) on all trucks and equipment.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters (oil, air, fuel) and changing fluids (hydraulic, radiator, oil).

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Keep an accurate PM log for all serviced trucks and equipment with no errors.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Inspect and maintain the  truck, reporting any mechanical issues the same day.

    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Equipment and Tool Maintenance:

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Perform repairs on the service truck as needed.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Maintain tools in good working order, servicing them as required.

    
    
  
  
  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Documentation & Compliance:

  
  
  
  
  • Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and other safety guidelines at all times.
  
  
  
  

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• 
  

  Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  
  


• 
  

  Licensing: Must hold a current, valid Class C driver’s license.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience:

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Minimum 5 years of experience servicing trucks and heavy equipment.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Basic understanding of English to read and comprehend work instructions and safety information.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements.

    Strong mechanical aptitude to perform preventive maintenance.
