Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) – Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Location: Escondido, California
Job Type: Full-Time (Outpatient Only, 40 Hours per Week)
Salary: $268,000 to $380,000 per year, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No nights or weekends)
Sign On Bonus: $15,000

Overview
A respected nonprofit community health center in Escondido, California is hiring a full-time Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. This is an outpatient-only position—no inpatient call, no nights, and no weekends. Primary Care Physician Job Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care, including chronic disease management, physicals, and preventive screenings

• Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions

• Administer vaccinations and manage medications

• Order and interpret lab tests, imaging, and other diagnostics

• Provide prenatal and postnatal care if within training and scope

• Coordinate patient referrals and care transitions

• Use an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to complete documentation within 72 hours

• Work collaboratively with registered nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health providers, and care coordinators

• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives

• Supervise residents or medical students as needed

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution

• Active and unrestricted California medical license (required)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (required)

• Valid DEA registration and current BLS certification (required)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Arabic is a plus

Salary and Compensation

• Family Medicine salary range: $268,000 to $363,000 per year

• Internal Medicine salary range: $281,000 to $380,000 per year

• Monthly performance-based incentive bonus opportunities
