The Role You’ll Play – Registered Nurse, Outpatient Primary Care

As a Primary Care RN at Pawnee, you will work closely with our Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You’ll be part of an integrated care team that bridges physical and behavioral health, helping patients manage both their medical and mental health needs.

The Day-to-Day:

• Assist the Family Nurse Practitioner with patient care, including assessments, vitals, medical histories, and preparation for exams.
• Administer medications, immunizations, wound care, and perform routine diagnostic procedures such as blood draws and EKGs.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment plans, medication management, healthy living, and available resources.
• Conduct screenings for mental health conditions, collaborate with behavioral health professionals, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Required

1. Current, unencumbered Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) certification
2. Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language
3. At least 2 years' nursing experience
4. Basic personal computing skills

Preferred

1. BSN strongly preferred
2. Bi-lingual capabilities
3. Experience with Microsoft Office software
