Position

The Montclair Cooperative School is seeking a full-time primary grades assistant teacher (grades 1-4) to start September 2025.

About the School

The Montclair Cooperative School is an independent Early Ages through Eighth grade school founded in 1963 and located in Montclair, NJ. We have an enrollment of  approximately 125  students, a program that is progressive and a community that is highly collaborative.

Qualifications

The Co-op seeks candidates who have a rapport with and appreciation of children in this age group, an ability to be resourceful, flexible and creative and a desire to work collaboratively.  An understanding of progressive education practices and an undergraduate degree in education or other relevant major is required
