What you'll do as a Primary Mental Health Therapist:

• Provide individual and group therapy to individuals in our IOP and PHP programs
• Develop individualized treatment plans, continually monitor progress and appropriateness of goals, and prepare discharge recommendations.
• Lead psychoeducational groups that are supportive and engaging
• Collaborate with the treatment team, including family therapists, dieticians, psychiatrists, and other professionals to ensure optimal care & progress.
• Attend weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient progress and coordinate the next steps.
• Keep clinical records up to date — treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary paperwork.
• Communicate with referral partners, providing regular updates on your patient's progress.
• Facilitate the discharge process by developing an aftercare plan, joining transition sessions with OP providers, and connecting patients with available resources.

Our Ideal Primary Mental Health Therapist:

• Experienced: Holds a master's degree, PhD, or PsyD in behavioral health, social work, psychology, clinical mental health counseling, family therapy, or a related field.
• Licensed: Holds a PLMHP, LMHP, LIMHP, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD license.
• Skilled: Strong clinical interviewing and counseling skills. Builds rapport and maintains professional boundaries. Knowledge of eating disorder treatment (or excitement to learn) and co-occurring disorders.
• Organized: Keeps thorough, accurate, timely documentation.
• Collaborative: Works well with multidisciplinary teams and referral partners.
• Creative: Bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to help patients heal.
• Tech-savvy: Proficient with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records.
