Prince George Patient Coordinator

Description

Virginia Physicians for Women is looking for a new member to join the Prince George front desk team. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent customer service skills, strong work ethic and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

• Complete all functions of patient admission and check out
• Understand and communicate the financial policies of VPFW
• Explaining payment plan arrangements with patients
• Collecting copayments and balances
• Manage and resolve patient payment concerns or questions
• Collect and coordinate patient insurance policies
• Schedule appointments to accommodate physicians across multiple offices
• Regular and predictable attendance

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to establish and maintain long-term patient relationships
• Demonstrate good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instruction and seek guidance as needed
• Perform work within appropriate time frame, accurately and in a timely manner in periods of increased work load and high stress
• Ability to solve patient problems, treat patients with dignity and respect and respond quickly to patient needs

Education and Experience:

• Previous customer service experience.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
