Position Overview

Emmanuel Christian School (ECS) is seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary Principal to be a part of the leadership team of our growing K-7th grade school. Key Responsibilities

The Principal will oversee the day-to-day supervision of staff and students: Including but not limited to:

1. Academic Leadership
   
   
   
   • Professionally develop teaching staff
   
   
   • Provide high value feedback on instruction
   
   
   • Oversee curriculum development and alignment with ECS’s mission.
   
   
   • Maintain strategies to ensure academic excellence and student success.
   
   
   
   


2. School Operations
   
   
   
   • Create and manage daily, weekly and yearly schedules.
   
   
   • Provide oversight of teachers and staff to ensure a collaborative and high-functioning team.
   
   
   
   


3. Student Development
   
   
   
   • Maintain a fair and consistent approach to student discipline.
   
   
   • Cultivate a safe, Christ-centered learning environment.
   
   
   
   


4. Collaboration and Partnerships
   
   
   
   • Work closely with the Head of Schools
   
   
   • Partner with SACS schools and their special education department to enhance student support services.
   
   
   • Lead in the development of a structure for high ability learners 
   
   
   
   


5. Spiritual Leadership
   
   
   
   • Model a deep and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
   
   
   • Provide spiritual guidance and encouragement to students, staff, and families.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field.


• Minimum of 10 years of teaching or administrative experience.

Preferred

• State Principal License and ACSI Certification.


• Experience leading an elementary Christian school.


• Background in special education/high ability learners

Work Environment

• Approximate Student Enrollment: 276 (K-7th grade).


• Staff: 25 teachers and staff members.
