The Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role within the Japan business, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of:

You will act as the analytical authority in Japan—shaping client engagements, defining methodologies, and building scalable, AI-enabled analytics solutions.

This role goes beyond execution. You will influence what is sold, how it is delivered, and how capabilities evolve in a fast-growing, high-visibility environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client engagements (Pharma focus)

• Partner with pharma brand, medical, and commercial teams to define key business questions
  


• Design analytical frameworks across patient journey, treatment patterns, and market dynamics
  


• Deliver insights that combine data rigor with strategic narrative
  


• Present to senior stakeholders with credibility and clarity
  

Drive solutioning & pre-sales

• Support business development with deep, data-driven insights
  


• Translate client needs into analytical approaches with clear business impact
  


• Act as a subject matter expert in discussions involving methodology and feasibility
  

Build AI-enabled analytics capabilities

• Develop scalable frameworks (e.g., patient segmentation, treatment pathways, switching dynamics)
  


• Collaborate with offshore analytics teams to operationalize and automate workflows
  


• Contribute to building an AI-first analytics model, improving speed and quality of delivery
  

Leadership & team development

• Mentor and develop junior analytics talent
  


• Set quality standards and best practices across engagements
  


• Contribute to the strategic growth of the Japan business
  

Requirements

Required:

• Strong experience in pharma or healthcare analytics (mandatory)
  


• Hands-on expertise with real-world data (RWD) such as claims or EHR
  


• Proven ability to work directly with pharma stakeholders (commercial, medical, HEOR, etc.)
  


• Strong analytical problem-solving and ability to translate data into business insights
  


• Interest and familiarity with AI-driven analytics approaches
  


• Experience in client-facing or consulting environments
  

Preferred:

• Experience with Japan-specific healthcare datasets (e.g., MDV, JMDC, NDB, etc.)
  


• Bilingual in Japanese and English (Japanese for client interactions, English for internal communication)
  


• Experience in areas such as treatment pathways, patient segmentation, or outcomes analysis
  


• Exposure to global or cross-regional team collaboration
