This position will be located in Rancho Bernardo, CA.\n\n**This position may be filled by either at the Principal Cyber Systems Engineer\u200b level OR at the Sr. Principal Principal Cyber Systems Engineer\u200b level based on the qualifications listed.**\n\nThe selected candidate will support programs, identify cybersecurity risks, and design, develop, integrate, test, and verify system security solutions. The candidate will be responsible for identifying cybersecurity risks, working with stakeholders to develop a technical and programmatic plan for remediation, and driving the incorporation of cybersecurity improvements into the weapon system. This role requires in depth knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the ability to develop artifacts (RAR, SSP, POA\u0026M, SAR, SCTM, ConMon) to achieve and maintain and ATO. \n\nTasks include, but are not limited to:\n\n * Author, and maintain cybersecurity program documentation \u0026 RMF package artifacts: Cybersecurity Strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Risk Assessment Report, Security Control Traceability Matrix, Plan Of Actions \u0026 Milestones, etc\n\n * Support the architecture and design of cybersecurity requirements and protections\n\n * Implement and review traceability of requirements to the design \u0026 its models\n\n * Experience implementing cybersecurity artifacts in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture\n\n * Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance and oversight to technical teams\n\n * Implement, review and assess cybersecurity system requirements verification/validation methods\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nPrincipal Cyber Systems Engineer: (T03) \n\n * Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.\n\n * Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nSr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: (T04) \n\n * Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 6 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.\n\n * Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Prior experience working on weapon systems\n\n * Prior experience working in restricted facilities\n\n * Current/active **Top-Secret** clearance\n\n * Active DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (CompTIA Security+) certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire\n\n * Direct experience developing RMF assessment and authorization artifacts in accordance with NIST SP 800-37\n\n * Prior experience working in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture\n\n * Experience linking requirements to design elements, traceability matrices, and change impact analysis\n\n * Experience modeling and analyzing cybersecurity threats using the MITRE ATT\u0026CK framework \n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 - $187,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $156,400.00 - $234,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
