Job Description - Principal Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Weapons of Mass Destruction

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence. Mandatory Requirements:

Established and recognized substantive expertise in WMD and related issues

Superior ability to prepare finished intelligence assessments and other written products with emphasis on clear organization, concise and logical presentation.

Superior capability to direct interagency, interdisciplinary IC teams against a range of functional and/or regional analytical issues and work with and represent the community when analytic views differ among agencies.

Expert communication skills, including ability to exert influence with senior leadership and communicate effectively with people at all staff levels, both internal and external to the organization, to give oral presentations and to otherwise represent the NIC in interagency meetings.

Expert leadership and managerial capabilities, including the ability to effectively direct taskings, assess and manage performance, and oversee personal and professional development of all levels of personnel.

Expertise and experience in managing analytic processes, understanding intelligence community analytic capabilities and priorities, and working at senior levels across the community to drive analytic product.

Creative problem-solving skills and superior ability to provide leadership in carrying out mission responsibilities.

Superior ability to prioritize and manage multiple short-term and longer-term tasks and projects and perform senior staff functions as required in a fast-paced work environment.

Experience and expertise at effectively working with senior policy makers and war fighters, to include a deep and current understanding of their intelligence/analytic requirements and priorities related to WMD and related issues.

Experience working with academic experts and foreign liaison on the WMD and related issues.

Superior ability to produce analytic finished intelligence related to the subject matter issue, either as lead analyst or manager of analysts, and broad knowledge of the role of intelligence analysis within the IC.

Desired Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in subject matter area, or closely related discipline.
