This position will be located at Edwards AFB, CA and is assigned to 2nd shift on a 4 day - 10 hours/day schedule (Tuesday - Friday).\n\nThe selected candidate will become part of the Liaison Engineering team within the Vehicle Engineering IPT and responsibilities include:\n\n * Act as engineering authority for non-conformances supporting the STRIKE program\n * Perform timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations\n * Coordinate with a team of multiple disciplines engineers to determine effective solutions to defects that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives\n * Basic knowledge of subsystems (electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems) installations, composite structures, \u0026 metallic structures.\n * Maintain integrity of the Material Review Board (MRB) process and engineering authority\n * Some of the tools you\u0027ll be using are NX, VisPro, MES, and TeamCenter\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Basic Qualifications for an Engineer include a Bachelor\u0027s of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline from an accredited institution and 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master\u0027s of Science Degree in STEM and 3 years of relevant experience .\n * This position requires a current in-scope DOD Secret Clearance as well as the ability to obtain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Previous MRB/LE Authority for Engineering\n * Experience with TeamCenter and NX, Visualization Professional, or other CAD programs\n * Experience working hands-on in a flight line environment\n * Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE ) (3-D model engineering definition)\n * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
