This position is on-site only\n\n.\n\nWhat you will get to do:\n\n * Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation plans to assist program activities for processing software and materials into partially finished or finished products.\n\n * Collaborate with Program and Engineering management on program quality planning and the establishment of program quality objectives.\n\n * Working with the Engineering Process Group, collaborate with software engineering and systems engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place and followed.\n\n * Assists with verification and validation testing of software and system products.\n\n * Supports audit activities and audits quality systems for non-conformance identification and corrective action.\n\n * Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.\n\n * Assists Software Engineering in collecting and reporting metrics.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Principal Software Quality Engineer:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering or other STEM-related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant software development integration work experience OR master\u2019s degree in engineering or other STEM-related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant software development and integration work experience.\n\n * Experience with development processes including Agile, Waterfall, and Spiral Development processes\n\n * Experience with AS9100\n\n * Experience in the collection of software data and metrics for reporting\n\n * Active security clearance at the Top-Secret Level\n\n * US Citizen\n\n * Experience with Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python)\n\n * Experience with Linux Operating System\n\n * Experience with Git\n\n * Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience in a Software Engineering environment in an engineering capacity, work plan review, and root cause/corrective action analysis.\n\n * Experience with software code review and open to learning different software tools.\n\n * Software Development and/or Software Engineering background with an Agile/DevSecOps mindset\n\n * Experience with GitLab\n\n * Experience with Windows 11 Operating System\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You \u2013 \nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
