Job Description - Principal EUV Mask Technology R&D Engineer

We collaborate across materials science, lithography, OPC, and high\u2011volume manufacturing to solve some of the most exciting challenges in advanced DRAM scaling. We are a hands\u2011on, innovative team working on technology that shapes the future of High\u2011NA EUV.\n\nIn this role, you will lead R\u0026D for next\u2011generation EUV mask materials and processes, driving readiness for High\u2011NA EUV manufacturing. You will guide roadmap strategy, partner with world\u2011class engineering teams and suppliers, and develop solutions that translate complex lithography requirements into manufacturable, reliable mask technologies.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Lead development of EUV mask blank materials and mask processes, including film stack design, deposition, etch, clean, and patterning quality\n * Drive High\u2011NA EUV readiness through material selection, mask design, stitching, lithography performance, and lifetime improvement\n * Translate lithography requirements into manufacturable mask solutions in partnership with OPC, design, and lithography teams\n * Lead data\u2011driven R\u0026D using DOE and fundamental analysis to improve yield, reliability, and manufacturability\n * Mentor engineers and transition developed technologies to FEOL process engineering teams\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * MS or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field\n * Hands\u2011on experience with EUV mask technology, thin films, materials, or process characterization\n * Strong problem\u2011solving skills and demonstrated innovation in semiconductor manufacturing\n * Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across R\u0026D, manufacturing, and supplier teams\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with High\u2011NA EUV, mask characterization, or mask reliability\n * Background in mask material analysis, film stack simulation, or mask lifetime improvement\n * Experience collaborating with equipment or blank suppliers on advanced technology development\n * Familiarity with roadmap planning or defining tool/process capability requirements\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nManufacturing Process Engineer 5\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
