Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems Facilities is seeking a customer service-oriented Facilities space planner team member to join the Facilities team. The selected individual will report to the Facilities Manager and will utilize Outlook, Maximo, Archibus, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project to support the Defense Division Facilities team.\n\nThis role will require a regular on-site presence in our office in Huntsville, Alabama\n\nPrimary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: \n\n * At least 3 years of experience successfully managing and leading teams\n * Experience developing and administering budgets and standards of performance.\n * Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, outside contractors, and project teams.\n * Excellent customer service\n\n\n * Ability to research and resolve customer questions without supervision.\n * The ability to multitask and work independently to meet service delivery agreements \n * Support the Facilities Manager by assisting with research and other internal customer inquiries.\n * Plan and layout of new space applications \n * Provide analytical support by providing reports and analysis to management regularly.\n * Complete special projects as assigned \u200bacross a geographically disbursed team.\n * Must have the ability to read building drawings, blueprints, and systems furniture drawings\n\n\n * Ability to develop detailed floor plans, furniture layouts, and occupancy models with AutoCAD\n * Ability to specify, source, and coordinate system furniture installations\n * Create move plans, phasing schedules, and communication matrices\n * Must have the ability to write construction Statements of Work with a focus on furniture and space design-related projects\n * Experience supporting large projects with the system furniture design and installation.\n * Must have a working knowledge of building systems, HVAC, Electrical, Life Safety, plumbing, etc.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * A bachelor\u2019s degree or 5 years\u2019 related experience; Masters degree with 3 years of related experience; Or 9 years of related experience.\n * Advanced skills in Excel and thorough knowledge of other Microsoft applications, including Word and Outlook\n * Advanced skills in AutoCAD\n * Excellent Customer service skills, including critical thinking\n * Ability to manage time and multiple tasks as appropriate throughout the day\n * Must be able to obtain a DOD secret-level clearance\n * Assist in compiling weekly and monthly leadership status reports.\n * Ability to work in Huntsville, AL\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Working knowledge of the Archibus employee tracking database.\n * Experience working with Maintenance Connection/Maximo\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
