We are currently looking for a full-time Principal Faculty, OSCE Coordinator. The Principal Faculty, OSCE Coordinator is a 1.0 FTE position that will be responsible for teaching as well as leading the coordination of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) within the Master of Science in Physician Assistant (PA) Program. The selected candidate will manage and implement OSCEs within both years of the PA program and also teach in their area of interest and expertise, serve as advisor to PA students, provide service to the department, the College, the profession, and community, as well as pursue scholarly activity in the clinical sciences or scholarship of teaching and learning. This is a non-tenure position and may hold academic rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor based on qualifications. 

Responsibilities of the position include: 

• Lead coordination of OSCEs in both the didactic and clinical phases of the program to include scheduling, preparing case materials, curriculum mapping, grading, providing student feedback, as well as coordinating and implementing OSCE remediation.
• Provide student instruction in a PA curriculum in didactic and/or clinical phases of the program (A2.05c) with assessment of learning and evaluation of student performance (A2.05d), where relevant.
• Collaborate with PA program leaders in the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the PA program curriculum in alignment with the ARC-PA Standards (A2.05g).
• Service to the Department of PA Studies and College through committee work and leadership of course coordination, and service to the profession.
• Actively conduct and contribute to scholarly pursuits.
• Provide support in developing, reviewing, revising, and attaining the College and Program’s Mission and goals as outlined in the University, College, and Program’s Strategic Plans (A2.05a).
• Provide support in developing, reviewing, and revising PA program competencies (A2.05a).
• Serves as a student advisor and provides academic counseling for students (A2.05e), while assuring remedial instruction availability (A2.05f) in conjunction with the academic support faculty, where applicable.
• Participates in the accreditation process.
• Participates in evaluation of the program (A2.05h).
• Participates in student selection, admission (A2.05b), and orientation to the PA program.
• Participates in campus and department events to include graduation, orientation, and so forth.
• Will be allotted release time of one clinical day per week, noted as service to the profession.
• Release time for clinical practice if approved by program director.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or a comparable terminal degree in medicine, or health professions education. 
• Must have at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience outside of schooling, except for principal faculty with graduate level science degrees who teach in the basic sciences. 
• Must hold or have held NCCPA certification, if applicable.
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, if applicable.
• Preferred teaching experience in higher education.
• Excellent communication skills.
