Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with and conduct family interviews for enrollment


• Help plan and coordinate the school year and calendar


• Recruit and build a strong team of motivated, passionate teachers


• Help teachers maximize their teaching potential


• Observe, monitor, and provide frequent feedback and performance reviews of teaching staff


• Monitor classroom instruction and provide timely and regular feedback to teachers to improve their practice


• Work with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment for students


• Facilitate and provide professional development and growth opportunities for staff


• Meet and listen to the concerns of students on a regular basis


• Meet with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolution


• Assist and execute proper disciplinary actions when necessary to students and staff


• See that appropriate staff in-service training is provided


• Create agenda and lead staff meetings


• Support Teachers in curriculum and discipline of students


• Assist the Board of Directors and Director with Student and Teacher Handbook revisions as necessary


• Assist and review items as directed by the Director

Minimum Required Qualifications: 
•    Licensed/certified by the State of Ohio for a principal position
•    Hold a Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university with a preference for a graduate degree in the field of                Education

•    Prior teaching experience
•    Experience in a similar role 
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff 
•    Excellent organizational skills
•    Flexible in fulfilling the needs of Faith Life Academy and adaptive to last-minute changes
•    Demonstrate the ability to receive and apply constructive criticism
•    Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and calm under pressure and during change
•    Highly motivated with the ability to work and complete tasks unsupervised
•    Solution-oriented and creative problem solver
