You are a detail-oriented and execution-focused Principal, HR Business Partner (HRBP) with a strong foundation in HR shared services, compliance, payroll, and building and managing People programs. You will focus on operational excellence, program management, and scalable people processes.

You will serve as a critical backbone of the People function, ensuring that core HR operations run smoothly, compliantly, and consistently across the US and EU. You will partner closely with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and People Ops while supporting managers and employees with high-quality HR services.

A Day In Your Life

HR Operations & Shared Services

  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries across core HR topics (policies, benefits, payroll, lifecycle events).

  • Own and continuously improve HR shared services processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a strong employee experience.

  • Ensure consistent application of HR practices and programs across the organization.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations across relevant geographies (U.S. and international, as applicable).

  • Partner with Legal and Finance to manage audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting.

  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and internal documentation in line with legal and business changes.

  • Support investigations and employee relations matters with a focus on fairness, documentation, and risk mitigation.

Payroll & Benefits Partnership

  • Partner closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, leaves, equity changes, and off-cycle adjustments.

  • Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and act as a liaison between employees and payroll providers.

  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination as needed.

HR Program Management

  • Project-manage core HR programs such as performance cycles, compensation processes, benefits renewals, compliance training, and policy rollouts.

  • Build clear timelines, documentation, and communications for HR programs to ensure smooth execution.

  • Track milestones, risks, and dependencies across People initiatives.

Data, Systems & Documentation

  • Partner with People Ops and Systems teams to pilot, adopt, and scale AI-driven solutions that reduce manual work and improve data quality and decision-making.

  • Maintain accurate employee data across HRIS and related systems.

  • Generate and analyze HR reports related to compliance, payroll, headcount, and employee lifecycle events.

  • Ensure strong documentation standards across HR processes and employee records.

Manager & Employee Support & Coaching

  • Provide pragmatic guidance to managers on HR processes and employee-related questions.

  • Support employee lifecycle events (onboarding, role changes, leaves, exits) with consistency and care.

  • Partner with leaders to ensure HR practices scale with business growth.

What Your Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in HR, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or an HRBP role with a strong operational focus.

  • Demonstrated experience with employment law compliance, payroll processes, and HR program execution.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple HR initiatives simultaneously.

  • A strong AI and automation mindset, with curiosity and practical experience using AI-enabled tools to streamline HR operations, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort.

  • High attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a process-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to balance empathy with policy adherence and sound judgment.

  • Experience in a high-growth, global, or technology-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with U.S. and international employment regulations.

  • Experience implementing or scaling HR programs and shared services models

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
