Raytheon is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer - Windows OS for our environments; a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include someone who is very familiar with the Windows Operating system and can work through the OS configuration and optimization for these environments which would involve a mixture of hands-on keyboard, engineering work, as well as documentation and baseline control.

What You Will Do

You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of Windows Operating System for the project.

You will support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effort.

You will Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system.

What You Will Learn

Assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments.

Provide guidance on Windows OS resource allocation & utilization.

Assist engineers with Windows based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices.

Qualifications You Must Have

"Active and transferable" current DOD- U.S government issues security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and 8+ years of related work experience.

Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues.

Experience with Windows based infrastructure for an enterprise Design.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in Network designs and implementation.

Experience in SAN/NAS designs and implementation.

Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments.

Extensive Windows OS development and deployment experience.

Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)

Experience with the Agile development lifecycle.

Experience with SAFe agile processes.

Knowledge of Enterprise Application development and deployment processes.

Windows MCSE Certification or similar.

Security+ certification.

We Are RTX

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
