Principal Manufacturing Engineer

Oversee operation of capital machinery, specializing in machine tool systems (milling, boring, turning, hobbing, grinding). Optimize performance of equipment by implementing new capability (development of solutions to increase throughput and reduce cycle times using new tooling components/systems; programming techniques, control systems upgrades). Troubleshoot machine failures to minimize downtime, while collaborating with machine maintenance and equipment OEMs. Supports new capital procurement and the designs and arrangements of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Bachelor's in a related STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree in a related STEM discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment as a process owner (process, equipment, documentation, special training). Hands-on experience in machining and troubleshooting of machines or being in a machine shop environment. Experience with machine tool equipment and control systems (large CNC mills, lathes, hobbers, and grinders). Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings. US citizenship required. Experience in machine tool design and maintenance. Experience in programming CNC lathes, mills, and/or grinders.
