Job Description - Principal Model Quality Engineer, DRAM

Our team works at the intersection of compact modeling, CAD, and validation to ensure models behave predictably and are ready for production use. We care deeply about rigor, automation, and engineering systems that last!\n\nThis role is central to how compact models for DRAM and NAND are validated, released, and trusted. As a Principal Model Quality Architect, you will define the quality bar and build the automated systems that enforce it. You will operate as a technical authority, shaping how models are tested, released, and consumed across teams, while reducing manual effort and accelerating acceptance cycles.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Define and own model QA and release readiness frameworks for compact and interconnect models\n * Design and maintain automated pass/fail and regression testing for model behavior and stability\n * Establish objective quality criteria that gate model releases\n * Drive early detection of unintended model changes through continuous regression\n * Provide technical leadership and partner with modeling, validation, CAD, and DTCO teams\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field\n * 10+ years of experience in compact modeling, model validation, simulation infrastructure, or quality systems\n * Experience designing or owning automated test or regression frameworks\n * Strong programming or scripting skills such as Python, Tcl, shell, or C/C++\n * Deep understanding of simulation-based engineering workflows\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * DRAM or NAND compact model experience\n * Familiarity with BSIM-class models and parasitic RC extraction tools\n * Background in software or systems architecture\n * Experience identifying systemic quality risks and converting them into automated test coverage\n * Interest in using AI-powered code generation tools to improve engineering efficiency\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Process Engineer 5\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
