Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Principal Program Cost, Schedule, and Control Analyst to join our team of diverse professionals. The preferred location for this role is onsite in Northridge, CA.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll get to Do:\n\nThe Principal Program Cost Control Analyst (PCA) will support Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type production programs within the Weapon Systems Division (WSD), reporting to the manager of the Advanced Weapons Systems (AWS) Operating unit. This OU is comprised of numerous high volume production programs for a variety of applications within the defense industry.\n\nThe PCA will interface with the program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements. They will prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.\n\nThe PCA will monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. This will include performing Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development, and analysis of estimates to complete.\n\nThe PCA will perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines, including maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.\n\nThe PCA will support audits and reviews as requested by programs, customers, and company management, support Annual Operating Plan, Resource Plan, and Long Range Strategic Plan activity, and prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations (IPRS, Dashboards, BARs, Etc.)\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master\u0027s degree with 3 years of related professional experience\n * Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement\n * Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis\n * Experience with COGNOS, Costpoint\n * Experience with financial forecasting\n * Strong PC skills - specifically Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting)\n * Ability to travel domestically 5% of the time.\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related field\n * Experience with COBRA, SAP\n * Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement baseline concepts and ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs and control accounts.\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Experience with SAP/BW reporting such as Analysis Office \n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
