Northrop Grumman Defense System is seeking a Principal Project Management professional (level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives.

This position is located in Palmdale, CA.
The Principal Project Management professional will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and clients. This role will be aligned within the Product Support Group’s Technical Publications function.
NGSKILLS
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma and 10 years of relevant project management experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of project management experience; or a Master’s degree with 4 years of project management experience.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and AGILE.
Experience in historical data analysis and resource management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Familiar with risk development and mitigation plans.
Able to operate in fluid and dynamic environment.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Have experience scheduling, briefing, and leading meetings.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Previous Project Management and Logistics experience.
Have an active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance.
Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with Microsoft Project.
Experience in the development and sustainment of Technical Publications/Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Training products.
Active Top-Secret clearance with Special Program Access.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
Salary Range:

$88,700 - $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
