Duties

LER TechForce, LLC seeks a Principal Software Applications Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of time. Duties: deliver and lead innovative, flexible, integrated software application and system solutions to meet customers' changing business needs; create process improvement and implementation plans; design, unit test, implement and maintain new and existing software modules and applications; represent the development team in multi-focused team meetings; provide technical support, guidance, and collaboration for software implementation; coach, mentor, and train entry-level software engineers to solve complex problems; stay abreast of new technology and competitors' products.

Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in computer science, computer engineering, information science, management information systems, or related field, and 4 years of experience (gained at any time) in any engineering or technical role which included at least one of the skills listed below. Included within the 4 years of experience, must have experience in the following: interactive application development; designing and developing software solutions and software architecture; solving programming problems; designing service-oriented architecture; SQL database tools (Oracle or MS SQL); version control and requirement management software (SVN or GitHub); designing and performing integration-level and unit-level testing; designing complex SQL queries; .NET language (C#, ADO.NET, or ASP.NET).

In lieu of master's degree, will accept a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in computer science, computer engineering, information science, management information systems, or related field, and 6 years of post-bachelor's, progressive experience in an engineering or technical role which must have included the skills listed above.
