Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist in support of the Intelligence Systems Division located in Linthicum, Maryland.\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get to do:\n\n * Source and procure commodities such as hardware components, COTS items, and electronic components in support of production and IRAD requirements\n\n * Proficiency in the procurement process, including but not limited to price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)\n\n * Ability to place and oversee procurement packages.\n\n * Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.\n\n * Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required\n\n * Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.\n\n * Review, reconcile and approve supplier invoices.\n\n * Interfacing and collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain\n\n * Ability to plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives.\n\n * Person should possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized.\n\n * Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation \u0026 warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.\n\n * Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.\n\n\n\n\n#MRP\n\nBasic Qualifications \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing or a closely related field. Or a Master\u0027s degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing or a closely related field; will consider a minimum of 9 years of supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing or a closely related field and high school diploma in lieu of a Bachelors degree\n\n * Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems\n\n * Experience with Government purchasing and contracting, including price and source justification\n\n * US Citizenship\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Work experience with FAR and/or DFAR Regulations\n\n * Experience with negotiating terms and conditions in a corporate setting\n\n * Experience in Administering high dollar value Purchase Orders\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $122,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
