We are tasked with developing, testing, and implementing new materials, technologies, and concepts, that enable the most lethal, intelligent, and collaborative systems to penetrate and operate in enemy airspace with impunity. We work hand in hand with a broad swath of other engineering disciplines to design, develop, manufacture, and sustain these systems. Our responsibilities span the full Systems Engineering lifecycle\u2014from research and development to modeling and analysis, from static / component test to dynamic flight test, from manufacturing floor support to field repairs and maintenance, and more. We work across multiple spectrums\u2014from RF (Radio Frequency) to IR (Infrared) and Visual, to Acoustic. Our engineers have the opportunity to work in various environments\u2014behind desks, in highly specialized labs, at indoor and outdoor test and measurement ranges, and at overseas operational locations. We are involved in all phases of development, production, and maintenance of Low Observable (LO) platforms. We are currently looking for Stealth / Low Observable / Radar Cross Section (RCS) / Signature / Survivability / Vulnerability Engineers to work on exciting and challenging projects.\n\nWe need your help to engineer at the edge of the impossible!\n\nWe would like you to bring your experience in design integration, product support or antenna integration to assist our highly skilled an innovative team.\n\nPosition Overview:\n\nThe selected candidate will report to the Vulnerability \u0026 Live Fire test IPT within the greater Survivability IPT. Your assignments will result in the understanding of the vulnerability of the aircraft system through various modeling \u0026 simulation and analysis techniques as well as live fire test activities. \n\nNorthrop Grumman is one of the industry leaders in the design and manufacture of highly survivable aircraft. We are currently looking for experienced vulnerability analysis engineers and live fire test engineers to work on an exciting new program where aircraft survivability is essential.\n\nEssential Duties:\n\nDevelops target models aircraft from NX models.\n\n * Conducts 26 view and burst point analyses using the AJEM vulnerability analysis tool.\n * Determines contributors of overall Probability of Kill values.\n * Conducts sensitivity analyses.\n * Briefs the customer and other government officials on specific analysis assignments, including findings and status.\n * Performs planning, execution, and reporting of live fire tests.\n * Develops test concepts and derives test shot parameters.\n * Uses statistical analysis tools/processes to conduct Designs of Experiment (DOE)\n * Conducts trade studies to assess vulnerability reduction feature additions/selection based on live fire testing data.\n * Briefs the customer and other government officials on specific testing assignments, including findings and status.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Principal Systems Engineer/Vulnerability \\- Must have a Bachelor\u2019s of Science degree in STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering with 3 years in aircraft vulnerability/live fire test engineering experience.\n * Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with NX\n * Experience with AMESIM\n * Experience with LS-Dyna\n * Experience with JMP\n * Excellent communication skills across technical disciplines.\n * Knowledge of scripting and automation coding languages (Python, MATLAB, DXL, etc.)\n * Active/Current Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)\n\n\n\n#AS-FA3\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
