The qualified applicant will support Northrop Grumman\u2019s Space Systems sector infrastructure.\n\nNote- The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our facility/campus. This is not a virtual position.\n\nResponsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:\n\n * Perform as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract.\n\n * Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.\n\n * Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.\n\n * Able to support multiple networks. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary.\n\n * Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.\n\n * Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.\n\n * Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis.\n\n * Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.\n\n * Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.\n\n * Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.\n\n * Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components.\n\n * Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.\n\n * Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.\n\n * Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).\n\n * Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.\n\n * Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.\n\n * Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.\n\n * Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems.\n\n * Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.\n\n * Work after hours, and weekends, as needed.\n\n\n\n\nIf you are ready to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment, apply today!\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Master\u0027s Degree with 3 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor\u0027s Degree with 5 years of IT experience; OR an Associate\u0027s Degree with 7 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of IT experience is required\n * Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II, or higher, certification (example: Security+ CE); maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment\n * Experience managing Windows Server OS\n * Experience with designing Windows domain architectures, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions\n * Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance to include a current/recent Polygraph that was adjudicated within the last 5-years (at a minimum) in order to be considered\n * Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment \n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor\u0027s degree in Information Technology, a Security+ CE, MCSE (or similar Microsoft cert), and 6 years of Windows Server, VMWare, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Group Policy administration in a classified environment\n * DoD 8570 Certification in a primary Operating System (Windows, Linux, Cisco)\n * Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments\n * Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification\n * Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment\n * Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment\n * Windows server management experience\n * Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems\n * Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions\n * Red Hat certification for current version\n * VMWare experience with current version\n * Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk)\n * Mid to Advanced level Scripting experience\n * Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment\n * Experience with Certification \u0026 Accreditation process\n * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph and a SAP/SAR access level preferred\n\n\n\nWe offer flexible work arrangements, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Come join us!\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
