Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.\n\n**this position is contingent upon funding and placement \n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Active Secret Security Clearance\n * Active 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security +)\n * For a level 3 : 5 Years with bachelor\u2019s in science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), 2 years Masters or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree\n * For a level 4: 8 years with bachelor\u2019s in science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), 6 years Masters or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree\n * Strong understanding of Golang syntax, structures, and idioms.\n * Understanding of basic data structures (arrays, slices, maps) and algorithms.\n * Proficiency in Golang\u2019s error handling conventions.\n * Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.\n * Knowledge of writing unit tests and integration tests in Golang\n * Proficient with the Linux operating system\n * Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Understanding how to build and deploy Go applications across different platforms.\n * Understanding of microservices principles and how to implement them in Go.\n * Experience with gRPC and protobuf (or similar)\n * Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\n * Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.\n * Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior developers.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $119,600.00 - $179,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $149,300.00 - $223,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
