Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is looking to add a Principal Electrical Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE)/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our team. This position will be based in Aurora, CO.\n\nAs an FSR, this position will be responsible for supporting the program. The ideal candidate would have the training, skills, knowledge, and capabilities of an Army 35T30 (Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator), or a 353T (Intelligence Systems Maintenance \u0026 Integration Technician).\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n * Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all the following:\n\n * Hardware: Antennas; rack-mount servers; client workstations; routers and switches; associated power and communications cables\n\n * Software \u0026 Operating Systems: VMware (including ESXi, vSAN); Windows Server 2019; Red Hat Enterprise Linux; Windows 11; Cisco IOS; Active Directory and DNS; Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure\n\n * Familiarity with configuration of encryption devices\n\n * Ability to coordinate for and support external interface integration, connection to network points of presence, and checkout/confirmation testing efforts\n\n * Experience with installation of containerized software systems using Docker and Kubernetes\n\n * Able to apply operating system and software patches and updates on all prototype software and operating systems either independently or with reach-back support\n\n * Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays when required to meet Unit Operations and Training Requirements; This is a travel-based position, focused on pre-planned and emergent travel in support of mission requirements both CONUS and OCONUS. Travel is expected to range between 50 and 75% but requirements may evolve as the program matures in it\u0027s lifecycle.\n\n * Create discrepancy reports (DR\u2019s) and provide weekly status reports to factory in Aurora, CO.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Principal/Level 3: 5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; 1 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM\n\n * Principal/Level 4: 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; 4 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM\n\n * Must have an Active/Final TS/SCI DoD security clearance, with eligibility/willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph if/when needed\n\n * Meet the requirements of DoD 8570.1-M at the IAT II or IAT III Level\n\n * Must have Security+ and be current with Continuing Education (CE) requirements: CCNA Security, GSEC, and SSCP or must able to obtain Security+ within 3 months of hire date\n\n * Must have at least 40 hours of documented training in two or more of the following computing environments:\n\n * VMware version 8, Data Center Virtualization (ESXi, etc.)\n\n * Microsoft Windows Server\n\n * Linux Servers\n\n * Cisco Networks\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * 5 or more years of operational experience supporting and maintaining RF antennas in a multi-INT environment, including imagery/GEOINT\n\n * Hold VMware VCP-DCV, version 6 or newer Certification and at least 1 other of the following:\n\n * Microsoft: MCSA Windows Server 2012 or MCSA Windows Server 2016\n\n * Linux: Linux+, LPIC-1, or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator\n\n * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)\n\n * The ideal candidate would have the training, skills, knowledge, and capabilities of an Army 35T30 (Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator), or a 353T (Intelligence Systems Maintenance \u0026 Integration Technician)\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
