This position is a 4/10 Second Shift position.\n\nCandidate should be proficient in classical static strength hand analysis, Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis, and finite element modeling and analysis for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from metal and composite materials. Should be able to develop and document detailed structural analyses in support of aircraft repairs including but not limited to free body diagrams, internal or external loading, shear and moment diagrams, and calculation of internal stresses. Analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB), and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP). Aircraft structural design criteria, and nonstandard repair and equivalent strength analysis background is a plus. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, mentor less experienced personnel, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System/ MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN/ST signature is a plus. \n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Principal Structural Engineer: Bachelor\u0027s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis; or Master\u2019s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years\u2019 experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis\n\n * Sr. Principal Engineer: Bachelor\u0027s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 8 years\u2019 experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis or Master\u2019s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 6 years\u0027 experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis\n\n * Experience with MRB related activities.\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance\n\n * Must be able to work 2nd shift and/or Weekend shift.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Master\u0027s degree in Engineering (ME/AE) with minimum of 9 years of experience in structural analysis.\n\n * Experience working on an ASIP managed platform.\n\n * Experience with crack growth software-AFGROW.\n\n * Familiarity with FEMAP/NX Nastran.\n\n * Experience with the development of dispositions for Airframe discrepancies.\n\n * Experience with performing repairs on primary structure made of composite materials.\n\n * Active DoD secret clearance or above.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 - $174,500.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
