We are Responsive We have Integrity We are Dynamic We exhibit ExcellencePRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESComplete component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly informed on progress and issues encounteredEnsure all designs are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentorSupport quality and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) related activities as requestedAbility to understand and review AMG drawing standardsExpertise in harness design tools such a Creo CadFamiliarity with requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness AssembliesExperience with C4ISR systems on military vehiclesResponsible for all development of technical products, joint studies of problems and solutions and programmatic recommendationsResponsible for ensuring the C4ISR components and systems meet the vehicle specifications requirementsReview work Item Packages to be implemented during post-delivery for identified and legacy deficiencies that require a Government assessment or resolutionProvide review of administrative package redlines for accuracy to support configuration control processes and provide comments to the GovernmentDevelops presentations and technical summaries to address technical issues to support quarter program reviews and other technical meetingsPerform site visits to prepare for and support trials through familiarization of systems and inspection of associated C4ISR systems and equipmentMeeting with customers to discuss and define technical and operational requirementsWorking with technical staff and project managers to develop solution concepts, architectures, briefings, and cost estimatesApplying systems engineering processes and principles to develop, analyze, design, test, and verify solutionsLeading design teams to develop requirements documents, technical data packages, and test plans and proceduresWorking with manufacturing teams to integrate, test, and deliver prototype and production systemsDeveloping feasibility studies, plans, papers, and other documentation in support of decision makingCollaborating with support contractors, Government civilians, and members of the U.S. militaryKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSBachelors degree, with a concentration in electrical or electronics engineering5 + years experience in an engineering environment on total vehicle or component designKnowledge in military body, kits, interior integration, and developmentProject Management, experience controlling cost, schedule, and performanceProficient computer knowledge and skills, including MS Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)PHYSICAL EFFORTSight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusHearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicateHand-Eye Coordination: must be able to regularly coordinate ones eyes with ones fingers, wrists, or arms to move, carry, or manipulate objects or to perform other job-related tasksManual Dexterity: must be able to regularly make quick, accurate, skillful, and coordinated movement with hands and arms to grasp, place, move, or use objects such as phone, computer, and other office equipment, tools, or controlsAgility: must be able to regularly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks, including the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, Companys property surrounding facility, or additional work areasClimbing / Kneeling: must be able to occasionally climb, kneel, bend over, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with balanceLifting: must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistancePhysical Strength: must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groupsStamina: must be able to occasionally exert oneself physically over long periods of time, including performing repetitive or strenuous tasks as well as standing and sitting for long periodsWORKING CONDITIONSPhysical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noisesTeamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplaceListening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accuratelyAbility to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competentlyMethodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production lineConcentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes.
