Job Description - Principle Scientist

Principal Food Scientist

Direct Hire | Full-Time
Atlanta, GA area
Pay: Up to $160,000

What You'll Do

Lead new product development projects from initiation through commercialization, including formulating, scale-up, and specification validation
Provide technical support to manufacturing sites for product batching, processing, and data analysis
Partner with cross-functional teams on CapEx projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Mentor and coach junior team members, developing the team's technical acumen
Lead development of processes and tools using Lean and Six Sigma principles

What You Need

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Food Science, Engineering, or related field required
7-10+ years of food R&D experience with understanding of food chemistry, food safety, and regulations
Expert knowledge in food testing, sensory analysis, culinary acumen, and food processing techniques
Strong project management skills and experience with DOE (Design of Experiments)
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate culinary concepts into feasible formulas
