Position Overview 

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Print Finishing & Mailroom Operator to support the final stages of our print production process. This role is crucial to the timely delivery of printed materials and involves both mail preparation and outbound shipping tasks. The ideal candidate will operate mailing equipment, assist with packaging and palletizing, and coordinate shipping logistics with precision and efficiency. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring our high-quality products reach customers and communities accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities 

Prepare Printed Materials for Mailing:

• Operate inserting machines, tabbers, labelers, and postage meters
• Fold, insert, seal, and label mail pieces according to job specifications
• Sort and organize mail in compliance with USPS postal guidelines
• Perform handwork for custom mailings and variable data matches

Support Shipping and Fulfillment:

• Package printed materials securely and label appropriately for delivery
• Use shipping software (UPS, FedEx, USPS) to generate shipping labels and track packages
• Palletize, shrink-wrap, and stage outgoing jobs for pickup or delivery
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation

Maintain Equipment and Work Area:

• Set up, monitor, and adjust mailroom equipment for optimal performance
• Perform routine maintenance and report malfunctions promptly
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

Collaborate and Communicate:

• Work closely with the production and customer service teams to ensure jobs meet deadlines
• Communicate any issues or delays proactively to supervisors
• Follow production schedules and work orders with a high degree of accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience in mailroom, shipping, or print production environment preferred
• Familiarity with USPS postal regulations and commercial shipping procedures a plus
• Basic computer skills for shipping systems and production tracking
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate/learn mailing and shipping equipment
