Printer Maintenance Assistant

We assist artists and designers in developing innovative digital wallpaper and textile collections and custom projects. twenty2 is hiring for a Printer Maintenance Assistant who will assist and help coordinate daily and routine maintenance and troubleshooting on wallpaper and textile printers.

General Responsibilities 

• Aid in identifying, resolving, and maintaining equipment and accessories in best operating condition


• Perform daily maintenance on multiple printers


• Perform scheduled weekly and monthly maintenance tasks on both textile & wallpaper printers


• Assist Specialist in assessing, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical problems


• Perform minor repairs or part replacements, as needed


• Help to maintain and track printer equipment inventory, parts usage and replacement frequency to monitor and investigate overall health of the printer(s)
  
  
  
  • Including correct disposal of printer parts 
  
  
  
  


• Is the back-up to the Specialist on service calls for equipment 
  
  
  
  • Effectively communicate with equipment technicians 
  
  
  
  


• Helps to coordinate and manage on-site technician service calls


• Collaborate with production department on effective scheduling of printer maintenance 


• Train to help guide the color management system


• Manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency


• Assist the Production team in their goal of ensuring that all orders print on time or ahead of schedule by doing such tasks such as:
  
  
  
  • Removing completed orders from the wide format printers and deliver to quality inspection tables
  
  
  • Assisting in quality inspection and sampling departments as needed
  
  
  • Setting up the wide format printers to produce the daily orders, including selecting the correct material for each order and preparing the material on the printer 
  
  
  
  

Reports to: Production Manager, with daily oversight by Printer Maintenance Specialist

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with wide format printers preferred

• High level of troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude

• Ability to professionally manage vendor relationships for remote and onsite service engineers

• Proficient with hand and power tools

• Ability to load heavy rolls of media into printers

• Early morning schedule availability 7am start time
