A Printing Production Coordinator is responsible for executing all tasks related to the printing of labels. This includes operating label printing equipment, cutting paper, drilling holes, and ensuring that each label is printed with the correct batch number. The role also involves maintaining the printer's functionality—troubleshooting issues and contacting service providers when necessary—and printing batch overruns as required. The role may also include other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process.
Duties & Responsibilities
Follow the production schedule and print labels on time.
Cut down paper to label sizes and drill holes as needed.
Troubleshoot the printer as needed or call for service.
Cut and/or print other departments’ media.
Help with labeling in production as needed.
Maintain inventory of printing materials and notify supervisors of shortages. Maintain, organize, and clean work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Report any problems or issues with equipment immediately to the Plant Manager or the Supervisor.
Participate in all required safety training and certification classes when needed.
Ensure print materials align with brand standards and quality expectations.
Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potential unsafe conditions. Uses equipment and materials properly.
Prioritizes and plans work activities. Uses time efficiently.
Other miscellaneous tasks, as required.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience, with at least two years of experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) is required.
Problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented and highly adaptable to shifting priorities, requests, and processes.
Must pass background and drug testing as per federal and/or state transportation regulations
Physical Requirements
Required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear, in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
Must be able to work in a hot or cold workspace.
