Private Markets Performance Associate

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Performance Associate on the Private Markets team is to assist in collecting and maintaining manager quarterly performance and allocation data for our alternatives asset department.  Data is gathered directly from the managers and maintained in multiple software programs.  Other responsibilities include interaction with private equity and/or real estate managers, reconciling fund returns, report generation, and creating exhibits to include in client presentations as well as the quarterly client reports.  Each PA interacts with all analysts and consultants within NEPC, as well as with investment managers.

NEPC applies a flexible approach to hiring for this role. Depending on level of experience relevant to the role and skills benchmarked we will establish the appropriate salary. The target base salary will be between 55-60k plus eligibility for overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Requirements:

0-2 years of experience in fund accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.  Degree in accounting, finance or economics, preferred. Excellent attention to detail and strong computer skills, as well as time management and organizational skills are critical. Must be organized, highly dependable with good communication skills and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Compensation: 

The base salary for this role is $55,000 - $66,000 per year. Individual compensation is based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications, location, responsibilities of the role, internal equity and alignment with market data.
