PRN Adolescent Treatment Support Technician 1 - Overnight

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) n Center Township, PA, is looking for a dedicated PRN Treatment Support Technician 1 to join our Adolescent Program team. This is your chance to play a hands-on role in creating a safe, supportive environment where young individuals can heal, grow, and thrive.  This is an overnight shift.

 Responsibilities

• Facilitates discussion groups and activities.
• Monitors patient behavior.
• Conducts handbook orientation.  
• Conducts searches of patient belongings, rooms and person.
• Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and patients.
• Assists patients in completion of patient assessment forms.
• Monitors patients' phone calls to families.
• Assists with crises intervention.
• Documents involvement with patients in progress notes.
• Collects urine and completes paperwork for drug screening as necessary.
• Provides post-discharge contacts/referrals under therapist direction. 
• Monitors medication taken by clients and documents accordingly, if applicable.
• Works in the gift shop, if applicable.
• Manages menu and nutrition needs if applicable.
• Manages donation and patient requests, if applicable to the location.
• Monitors smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable.
• Completes intake paperwork as needed.
• Monitors clients’ ADLs - including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.
• Remains on duty until relieved.
• Communicates information to the treatment team.
• Monitors patient treatment assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of 12 step programs and/or other recovery support and/or addictions pre-ferred.
• Ability to adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality and professionalism. 
• Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to listen to patients without judgement.
• Ability to show empathy and understanding to patients.
• Knowledge of adolescent behavior management and care preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent  

Preferred Requirements

• Some college preferred.

• PA Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
• Pass Drug Screen
• TB Test  
• Obtain CPR/First Aid training.
• This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway residents
• Required to remain awake and alert while on duty.
• If living a life of recovery, must attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder.
