PRN IP/RHB Registry Occupational Therapist

Essential Job Duties:

1. Performs patient evaluations to determine patient problems to address.
2. Develops an individualized patient plan of care, occupational therapy interventions and expected outcomes based on the evaluation and documents findings.
3. Implements or supervises the patient treatment within the established plan of care.
4. Evaluates or reassesses patient progress towards established goals.
5. Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and Physical MedicineTechnicians on rotation.
6. Assists in discharge planning including communication to the patient, family and other health care professionals.
7. Exercises the skills, safeguards and professional conduct of an Occupational Therapist.
8. Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Responsible for reporting breakdown of necessary support services to supervisor.
2. Assists in orienting staff members.
3. Supervise OTA/OT clinical students, teen volunteers and shadow students.
4. Assists with departmental Performance Improvement Program.
5. Maintain adequate supplies, assists in keeping department clean and ready for patient treatment.

Job Specifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program. Attend appropriate continuing education courses to maintain state licensure.

• Experience: Clinical experience from a school of occupational therapy.
