PRN Nurse for Vaccine Clinics

Location: Various clinics throughout the 9-county district

Job Description:

The Loup Basin Public Health Department is seeking a qualified PRN Nurse to join our team to administer vaccinations at clinics throughout our 9-county district. This job will primarily be during the months of September, October, and November. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide vaccinations to individuals across the lifespan. 


• Maintain accurate client records reflecting preventative services provided.


• Initiate referrals to other healthcare sources as necessary.


• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with communities, medical providers, schools, businesses, and the general public to mobilize, plan, and implement health screenings, immunizations, and education.


• Maintain confidentiality of all participant/client information in compliance with Loup Basin Public Health Department’s confidentiality policy.
  

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school with a Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.


• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.


• Proficiency with computers and technology, including Microsoft Office programs.
  


• Active participation in continuing education hours.


• Must be able to use own vehicle for travel, if needed. 


• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  Able to work in a smoke-free and drug-free work environment.
  
  

Compensation: This position would be a 1099 contract position and not eligible for benefits.
