Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Mental Health Provider to deliver evidence-based individual therapy to clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns. This position offers a flexible, hourly schedule within an outpatient setting, allowing providers to focus on client-centered care while maintaining work-life balance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual outpatient therapy using evidence-based practices (EBPs) such as CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, or other modalities.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and progress evaluations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to client needs and goals.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
- Monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Participate in supervision, case consultations, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards as outlined by state regulations and professional organizations.
- Contact other agencies (EMS, child protective services, law enforcement, etc.) when necessary, following mandated reporter guidelines
- Assist in facilitating group therapy sessions, as needed, creating a safe and supportive environment
- Attend all therapy team meetings and participate in scheduled supervision with designated supervisor
- Represent AHC at two internal and/or external events during the year, encouraged
- Serves on an AHC committee, encouraged
- Acknowledges and adheres to all policies and procedures of Aspen Hope Center
- Completes additional tasks as requested by the Clinical Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse mental health conditions
- Experience working with diverse populations and culturally competent care
- Ability to complete clinical documentation in an electronic health records (EHR)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based setting
- Skilled in basic computer operations including the use of the Internet, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and general data management.
- Uphold personal boundaries with clients, practitioners and other agencies
- Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and structure in any given situation
- Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times and adhere to the minimum necessary rule
Credentials and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Active state licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, SWC,LPCC) or ability to obtain licensure within an agreed timeframe*
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience providing outpatient therapy (internship hours may be considered)
- Willingness to be credentialed through various third-party payers
- Training or certification in specific evidence-based modalities (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT) preferred
- Experience with telehealth therapy and online service delivery preferred
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
*Upon hire, clinicians are classified as Therapist I, II, III based on licensure and experience. Pay is commensurate with experience and licensure.
