Probationary Police Officer - Exam Notice

The Upper St. Clair Police Department is currently seeking applicants for the position of full-time Probationary Police Officer.

The Township of Upper St. Clair is a 10.5 sq. mile community located 10 miles southwest of the City of Pittsburgh.  The Township has received national recognition as one of the top-ten safest communities compared with others of similar populations in the United States.  Our Department serves a residential population of 21,100 and covers numerous businesses, including a regional mall.

General Requirements:

• 
  A United States Citizen


• 
  Physically fit for police duty


• 
  Act 120 Certification or enrolled in an Act 120 academy at time of submission of application


• 
  A minimum of 22 years old


• 
  A valid driver’s license


• 
  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Applicant Must:

• 
  Pass a comprehensive background check, including a polygraph or CVSA examination


• 
  Pass a psychological and medical exam, including drug screening


• 
  Have no visible tattoos, brandings, or body piercings while in a short-sleeved uniform shirt

A physical agility test is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 8:00 AM.  For those that pass the physical agility test, the written test will be in the afternoon of that same day.
