If you enjoy turning complex process challenges into scalable solutions, you\u2019ll feel right at home here!\n\nIn this role, you\u2019ll own and evolve CMP processes from early development through high\u2011volume manufacturing. You\u2019ll collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to improve yield, reduce cost, and ensure robust, portable processes. Your work will directly influence product quality, reliability, and speed to market.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Develop, start up, optimize, and sustain CMP processes to improve yield, cost, productivity, and reliability\n * Identify and resolve assembly and manufacturing issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, SPC, and FDC methodologies\n * Lead or contribute to continuous yield improvement, cost reduction, and risk management initiatives\n * Qualify and deploy new process baselines, tools, and materials for new product introduction and site\u2011to\u2011site portability\n * Evaluate and optimize processes, equipment, and materials, and manage supplier quality and performance\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field, or B.S. with 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience\n * Prior CMP experience in academia or industry\n * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities effectively\n * Experience creating clear technical presentations and reports\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with dielectric and metal CMP process development and slurry\u2011pad interactions\n * Understanding of FEOL and BEOL CMP processes and CMP\u2011related electrical or probe failures\n * Hands\u2011on experience with CMP tools and endpoint systems\n * Experience supporting SPC, FDC, RMS, or APC systems\n * Familiarity with AI\u2011assisted tools for operational efficiency or coding (e.g., Claude, Tabnine)\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Process Engineer 2\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
