Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Controls Engineer 2 to support our Facilities Engineering team at our Bacchus, Utah Plant.\n\nThis position will be located at Bacchus, working in the Facilities Engineering group with responsibilities in the Process Controls Support. The job will support Plant Rocket Motor manufacturing processes.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n\n * Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to control a variety of processes, machine tools, and robotics. Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming experience preferred.\n * Work with the Process Owner and Operation Personnel to test new/modified PLC/HMI programs prior to Implementation.\n * Work with the process owner to optimize the control system with process improvements.\n * Develop automated recipes to error proof the system and reduce operator variability for process specific parts.\n * Integrate process data with Canary Historian / Ignition\n * Provide Line Stoppage Support for PLC controlled processes.\n * Program variable frequency drives (VFD) for all types of motor control applications.\n * Work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot.\n * Work as a team with the Electrical Design / Controls Engineers on upgrades / new controls systems.\n * Support various control systems on plant (e.g. presses, autoclaves, mixers)\u2014involving troubleshooting, re-programming, adding software enhancements, etc. in support of Operations.\n * Manage upgrades to process related computers.\n * Implement secure network connections to manufacturing equipment.\n * Preparation and present to OSCB/PPCB (Safety reviews)\n * Prepare and submit Maintenance Work Orders\n\n\n\nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
